Evolution of Tracks and Velodromes
edited November 2007
Fascinating link here:
the Beijing track is shown.
Interesting to note that the business is in the 3rd generation.
Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom
I was looking at the Schuermann Architects site a couple of weeks ago “researching” (although that's too strong a description for it...) tracks currently used for 6 day races.
Listed in the track database at 67 is the track that was used for the Skol 6 day races at Wembley and at 85 is the Meadowbank velodrome.
What a family business to be involved in. 8)
I’m a sprinter – I warmed up yesterday.
Hmm... not enough tracks here though, maybe after the Croatia incident football should be scrapped and the stadiums turned into Velodromes !!
