Shimano ALTUS - can it take - 11-34 ?
Does anyone know if the Shimano Altus Rear mech can take an 11-34 cassette/freewheel? Is Altus known as a "long cage" rear mech? My Road-bike's currently using Altus with a 14-28 cassette/freewheel, and after my first run out today, I've conceded that I'm going to need an 11-34 for hills after being in the saddle for long periods - I was hoping I'd be able to cope with 39/28 but I can't at present.
Thanks.
Thanks.

yes it can. but is better with a 32. but it can work with 34T."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

definitely OK with 32 have not tried 34 but my guess would be yes as there isn't a big diameter difference between the two.0
