xc fork

does anyone have any experience of the marzocchi xc 500 fork? am looking to use it to replace the psylos on my GT.

None at all, but I will stick my oar in hehe - seems quite heavy for an XC fork.

what is the weight of it? crc doesnt say. and to be honest im not sure of the weight of my psylos.

have a look on Marz's webby weights are there (less the steerer).

4lbs 3oz I think, but as Nick says, may not include the steerer which is usually another 6 or 7 ounces.

Psylo XC was 4lbs, Psylo SL 4.1lbs and Psylo Race 3.5lbs.

hmm, so it looks about the same weight as if not slightly heavier than psylos. thanks for your help fellas, will have a look on marzs' website.

Compare to the Reba at 1600g or 3.5lbs...

i had considered the reba, but the cheapest i can find is 304 quid. im upgrading the brakes too, and am on limited budget. as it is with the corsa lt forks and 06 martas im looking at 479 quid. am dead set on the brakes; i loved the ones i tried a few months ago, just the fork im having trouble with! am going to keep looking though and see if anywhere else has rebas cheaper.
