spokes

i broke a spoke today whilst out on a ride and was woundering do i need to replace it with the exact same one it. it's the standard wheel build from the giant xtc sx i think they are dt competion spokes. also where to get them from ?

    take the wheel to a bike shop and ask them to sort it.

    the whole wheel will need a tweek.

    how much ruthely will it cost cos my uncle will be a able to true the wheel and spokes are cheap as cheaps ?

    well if your uncle can do it then he will know how to work out the spoke length. and then order it and lace the spoke and then retension the whole wheel?

    and yes the same spoke would be a good idea.
