Hi Folks :D , I've just got some cash together to get a disc wheel but I'm wondering do they really make that much difference :? ? Will I notice a time difference over a 10/25 mile course. Would I be better off spending the money elsewhere?

A disc wheel is sitting in turbulent air, so the key is to minimise the turbulence through aero bars, good position, aero front wheel and helmet - once you've ticked those off, then the disc wheel should be top of your list!
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • I have most certainly ticked those off :D

Don't forget the possible other menatl benefits of a disc, there's nothing better than turnning up to a race with one, makes you feel like you are part of 'the gang' . Also the sound of the wosh wosh can be entertaining on some dc courses.

If you get a side wind youll notice the difference make sure you have the best front whhel you can afford first after all thats where the wind hits first.
