Lost one of the main rear suspension bolts and thrust washer off my Carerra Banshee a couple of weeks ago. I was quoted £15 to machine a new one at a local engineering company. I had only bought the bike a month previously from Halfords (£320 - a bargain) so I thought I would ask if they could supply a replacement. Yes no problem came the reply - they are £20 but we will replace it under warranty.
Had to say I was absolutely stunned when I went to pick it up from Halfords. Instead of the bolt and washer I was expecting they gave me a bag containing a full suspension service kit including all of the bearings (6 of them) , spacers, seals and bolts. In all there was 50 pieces of kit in the plastic bag. I ran out of the shop quickly before they changed their mind!
So full marks to Halfords and special thanks to Chris in the South Shields branch for his help.

Thats the way the silly Halfords ordering system works sometimes! Instead of being able to get individual parts, the head office will just send kits like that - and you benefit!0
