What kind of probling are you having? Is the problem area the actual ergo leaver?0

In order to get the brake outer cable to seat properly you may have to unscrew the lever from the clamp - push the outer firmly onto the body and then reattach the lever body to the clamp/bars. It's also easier to thread the inner at this point, rather than waiting until you've got everything fixed in position. I then take the outer to the bars using electrical tape, set up all the gears and brakes etc - have a quick test ride round the block to make sure lever position etc is correct before committing to bar tape - electrical tape is easier to unwrap/replace than bar tape. It's also easier to unwrap bar tape from electrical tape that from the bars themselves.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

The cable casing etc is all in position and I can get the inner cable in the right hole (I think) but when I try to change gear using the lever - to change to a lower gear - nothing happens. Is there another slot to put the cable end into or is it going into the lever the wrong way?0

Pull back the lever hood and release the downshift lever - you should see the ratchet body moving around - there is a protruding lug on the ratchet through which the cable passes and the nipple is seated - make sure the lever is pushed down enough times to get the lug into it's 'home' position. If the cable is seated correctly but still refusing to downshift, then obviously it is being obstructed - firstly check that bar tape or the hood isn't preventing the ratchet from moving. If that's OK, then it's likely due to a kink / fraying in the cable - you can but remove the cable and make sure it slides freely, particularly making sure that the outer isn't trapping the inner, or the liner isn't crimped somewhere.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
