My friend is changing their drop bars for flat ones - can she have cantilever brakes running from normal brake levers?

And can she fit V-brakes onto the fittings for canti brakes? This option would be best I reckon. I think you can? And I can't admit I don't know... 8)

cantis and V brake posts are in the same place. But canti's and V's require different amounts of cable to be pulled.

there are some levers that allow both to be used by moving the pick-up point.

so wanting to use what with what?

    Thought they were dual-pivots???

It's just a hill. Get over it.

Ah, sounds promising! It's a drop-barred bike with canti brakes - she wants to switch to flat bars, and hopefully get V brakes - sounds fairly simple to do! Cheers!
