ultegra mechs paired with 105 shifters(10 speed)??

hi folks,, simply put can this be possible.?.it may sound like a numpty question but i cant see why not?i was thinking of putting these on with some new pedals(ultegra).i like the ice grey ones.has anyoneout there done this

    You shouldn't need to change the cables. Try and keep the ends as neat as possible as you'll need to thread them through the holes in the new mechs. Scrounge a couple of cable ends from your bike shop to finish the job off nicely.

    the cables are not that old so maybe ill get away with them.ill see what lbs say.the shifters to replace are dear(ultegra )so ill stick with 105 for now .thanks lads 8)
