Courier for a bike
I'm selling a bike and have a cardboard bike box to send it in. I checked out ParcelForce but they don't do their pickup service with things that big.
Does anyone know a good courier I could use?
Probably not the right place to put this post, but this section of the forum seems to be the most helpful

Thanks Phil, that looks promising.
For anyone in the same situation, the cardboard bike boxes are 187cm x 112cm x 23cm (I'm guessing they are all the same size).0 -
I thought I'd used ParcelForce to ship a bike box, but I may have used a friends trade account with another courier instead. :? As you say, they definitely won't take parcels that size now according to their terms of carriage.
According to:

City Link will take a 20kg box that size for £37 next day - bit pricey but cheaper than many others!0 -
I've just had a bike delivered this morning via ParcelForce, sent by a member of this site..?0

It turns out that paperdrop use DHL who limit size to 184x60x60cm so no go there.
ParcelForce state: 'The size of each Parcel must not exceed 3 metres length and girth (measured around its thickest part) combined and 1.5 metres for the greatest dimension. Girth should be calculated as twice the height of the Parcel plus twice the width of the Parcel measured around its thickest part.' So the bike box would need to be decreased in length to 150cm to meet the greatest dimension criteria.
Interparcel looks fine but is expensive.0
