Racing Ralph or Razer?

Hi Guys

Currently running panaracer cinder 2.1's front and rear, but as most of my riding is on hard pack, fairly mud free trails, i was thinking of adding some speed by changing the rear tyre to a semi slick, as many of you do.

My choices are either the schwalbe racing ralph or the panaracer razer, both in 2.1 (or should i go bigger?). They seem to be roughly the same weight and can be had for pretty much the same money.

I know there are many out there who would reccomend the ralph, but has anyone used the razer or pref both that could comment, as wmb rated the razer as the best semi slick, over the ralph.

Cheers

  • Very little in it.The Razer uses a very similar tread pattern.
The Razer is meant to be more durable, the Ralph rolls a little better.I think what sealed the Razer as the winner,in wmb was the UK pricing.

However,if you buy via one of the German sites, via ebay or find a deal, they can be had for £25.(There's a newer version of the Ralph out, hence a few deals to be had on the old one.)

I've been very happy with the performance of the Ralph.(Using 2.1)

  • ermmm, sad to say the razer is more of a ripoff/ updated ver of the ralph if i remember right. but, unless u can get the newer ver of the ralph, i would recommend the razer, antisnake bites and some other stuff i think.
