Crash this morning on the south side of Southwark Bridge

Hello there
This is my first post (I'm a cycle commuting noob) and unfortunately its about a crash
I was in a collision with another cyclist on the in the approach road to the south side of Southwark Bridge this morning at about 8:30am.
I was in the cycle lane going north when another cyclist pulled alongside on my right and then collided with me, both of us ending up on the street. Think he was fine, and so am I, just a scratch on my knee and a bruised hip.
He said a taxi pulled up alongside him to his right which forced him into me. Since the taxi didn't bother to stop and I was in too much of a daze to ask the other cyclist if he saw the taxi's number plate, I was wondering if there is anything I could do to find the taxi's details?
Also my bike has a dent in the left hand front fork about an inch wide and inch and a half long. Do you think it is safe to ride home or should I take the train, and take the bike to a shop to have it looked at?
The brakes and gears seem fine as I managed to cycle the rest of the way to work ok.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Leo

Sorry to hear that you came off. If there is a bike shop near to where you work, they should be able to do a crash damage assessment for you. Ought to cost around £15 and you will get a clear view of roadworthiness. Last thing you need is your forks failing catastrophically on the way home in traffic....0
