Wiggle sell DHB stuff which is good value for money. For a helmet I would recommend Specialized as they are the only readily available brand in the UK that are tested to the superior Snell rating (tested to about twice the impact force of the standard EN tests).

Wiggle and Chainreaction are both excellent sites, and provide very good customer service - in my experience.

    I can also add:
    SJS Cycles
    Dotbike
    Evans
    Spa Cycles
    Rutland Cycling

All places above I have shopped from online with no problems.

Helmets - you are taking a wild guess if you order one online, and due to the size, it won't be especially cheap to send back.

Different helmets fit different people, for example, I really wanted a Giro, but they didn't fit my head properly in any size, my gf wanted a Specialized, but again, this was the wrong shape for her head.

Bell helmets also didn't fit me

I ended up with a Specialized Aurora, and a Giro for my gf, both bought from Evans.

I recommend you go to a large bike shop that has lots in stock, and get a feel for what fits you.

No point buying one if it doesn't fit you properly, and if it doesn't fit you properly, you won't want to wear it anyway.
