the new, creaky crank thread!!

My crank's creaking, it's a dmr sidekick2 (dmr crisis crankset and some sort of dmr bb!), had the retainer bolts off and regreased/retightened them but still it creaks, one pedal turn on both sides!! Is this a crank problem or a bb problem? Whats the best way to sort it out? Was gonna take the crank arms off and refit but didnt want to unless i had to!!

Could be either - or not any! Park tools has a great article on creaks and diagnosing them.

will be the isis bb. as they dont last. but could be anything else as well.

Isis ay... The crank looked like it was a squared sort when i took the caps off, or does that not make a difference to whether the bb is isis or not?
In all cases that could probably be it, I have had some hard slams recently!
