Shimano / Campag compatibility

Is it possible to fit a 9 speed shimano cassette on a campag 8 speed hub and freewheel, or do i have to change freewheels or is it not possible at all in any combination , cheers.

Shimano and Campag require different freehubs because the spline pattern is different - so you'd have to swap the freehub for a Shimano one (which may not be possible given that the hub itself is Campag).
