Yo yo,
been back in England a few weeks now and I'm just wondering what the hell's going on. Aston Hill open? What's Chicky like? Any new stuff i should know about? Have barely even rode since I got back.
Was anyone else in Whistler this summer? Man it was a sweet season.
The new forum sucks btw.

You wont find many left you recognise in the Sandbox these days. Everyone chumped off to a new forum.
I heard the snow hung around for ages this season. Can't imagine that was too good for the riding!0 -

I'm not too bad! Living in London so riding situation is grim though.
Aye the snow hung around for a while, they opened the lower bike park on time even though it was snowing at the top of the lift. I rode first day and have never been closer to pneumonia tbh. The upper mountain didn't open for ages, and even then it was sketchy as fuck, all unmarked and stuff. It was so muddy both opening days that the trails got compleeeeetely destroyed, but a good few weeks in and it rode like a dream. We had this awesome rain one day, sun 2 days, rain 2 days, sun again type weather that kept it all lush and smooth. *Sigh*
How come the forum got shut down?We live on front porches and swing life away, we get by just fine here on minimum wage0 -
all the forums were merged to together by future to make bike radar once this place was up and half running they closed all the other forums down so everyone would use this one0

Future wanted to merge the four biking forums they had - MBUK, WhatMTB, Cycling Plus & Pro Cycling.
Erm, it sort of didn't work out very well and I'm not going to say that we (the MBUK Forum regulars) told them it wouldn't, as that's water under the bridge.
The MBUK Sandbox regulars set up their own site, as did the WhatMTB guys and all the roadies disappeared to wherever they are now.
I pop back here occasionally, but TBH, it's not really fast paced enough to keep my extremely short memory span entertained...
It's still a very useful site for techy issues or purchasing advice.0 -
Not everyone naffed off! Myself I've emigrated to Wales for a few years for a degree or something, not quite sure because there is an absolute shed load of riding around here...I find new stuff everytime i go out.Brought to you by:
