You do realise that you have probably just cast a "Hello"-type curse on Hulsmans and he'll probably be lucky to get a free transfer to Jartazi in 12 months time?

LangerDan, I don't think I can adequately explain the attraction of the "Hulse" without showing you a complete anthology of Tim De Waele's Hulsmans pics. Basically, every month, we get new, unsollicited pics of "Hulse" in some unfathomable guise or position, be it wearing a fake moustache or with a boiled sweet up his nose or doing an impression of an aeroplane. The man is, quite simply, a law unto himself.
There's also something about Hulse's relationship with Boonen. He's more than a comedy sidekick, more than a mascot - he's the doe-eyed puppy you sometimes want to kick but just have to cuddle.
OK, he never wins anything, but that's part of the appeal. He's Belgium's Eddie the Eagle, cycling's Eric the Eel...
I'm afraid that's the best I can do. You just have to learn to love him like we have.0 -

I was watching the Giro a couple of years ago and it seemed that he was always on the front doing all the work. Since then I always keep an eye out for him.
