Hi all,
I'm about to make the switch to clipless (Time ATAC) pedals and I was wondering if there is a reccommended type of grease to put on the threads before screwing them into the cranks?
TIA,

I use ball bearing grease for threads and seatpost, it seems to work fine...0

Any automotive grease such as Silkolene RG2 will do. Don't go mad on it though, too much and the thread won't lock - and you may find yourself with your pedals falling off!0

an anti sieze compound such as copper slip."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks all; I'll nip in to Halfords next time I'm passing and get some copper grease.

would this stuff be ok Nick? I also want to bung some on my skewers.0 -
I've just had someone say that copper grease is no good if one of the metals is Aluminium as Al is more reactive than Cu, so you can still get galvanic action. Anyone know whether that is true, or were they just talking out of their bottom!

Just use whatever grease you use for the rest of your steed, your pedals won't come loose whatever, that's why they have directional threads.0
