Hello,
Hope someone can help. I'm out in The Stan at the moment and trying to find out where to spend my tax free bonus when I get back to the UK. I did here that Orange used to give discount for the military, does anyone know if this is still the case? I'm after a 5 and the Orange website only has an address and phone number, no email contact which is really annoying.
Also while I'm on does anyone know of other manufactures that give discount to the defenders of the libertys of the Afghan people?

I, when you actually see what's happening on the ground and meet the people it's not as bleak as what sometimes gets portrayed in the media.
    All the best.

I know that Kudu Bikes in Hawes do discount for service personnel. They are main dealers for Orange and Scott.

Check out http://www.kudubikes.co.uk/shop/offers.htm and scroll down to the "Armed Forces Discount" section

    Hi,

I've just rang Orange for you and they said that they don't give military discounts. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!! But at least you can try at kudu bikes. Keep up the good work!!

Remember that nearly all shops and dealers will give you a discount if you haggle with them, irrespective of who you work for.

I was offered a 17% (£300) discount off a brand new (£1800) 2008 Stumpjumper Elite, just through asking what the cheapest they can do it for was. I dont think anyone is meant to sell current model Specialised bikes below RRP, but obviously they do.

  • Why don't you bring back one of the 'jingly' bikes that are everywhere in the middle east ( I know the stan isn't technically IN the middle east but its near as damn it 8) built to last those things (heavy doesn't go far enough and as for the rod actuated brakes!!)

Its surprising how well the body adapts to extreme temps, its very hard explaining what 50+ C is like !

PS. spent 3 yrs in Kuwait and Oman as a civvy contractor

Hope you sqauddies aren't giving the Waffos too much stick don't mind you abusing the rock apes though

    all the best .
