Damn those slippery wet drain covers!

Out of action for a couple of weeks now and on crutches. Bust just about everything in it apart from the bone. Was like a balloon yesterday. Joy. Took them 5 hours to see me in A&E because they were too busy sorting snivelly noses out (seriously!) :(

Excuse the crap photography.

ouch, looks painful, I'd done that to myself a few years younger and considerably more stupid, I jumped off a roof of a garage and ballooned my ankle.

It's still larger than the other one now  (12 odd years)

hope yours gets betterer than mine did

Oooyaz! That looks like it's gonna smart.
Any chance of you get some attractive young physio to help you with the swelling :?:

What do I ride? Now that's an Enigma!
  • lol If only.

I think it would have been worse if I wasn't wearing these buggers. Not great cycling shoes but they're bullet proof!

If I had cleats, my head would be swollen and purple!

Great shoes for walking. I can walk about 20 miles in them in 4.5 hours and I'm a fat lazy bastard.

Like I said earlier - if only ;)

Just buggered my shoulder as well now trying to piss one handed with a crutch under the other arm, standing on one foot.

Trying to balance for the one armed pee... were you feeling a little cocky?

I\'m only escaping to here because the office is having a conniption
  • steel and water on the road is a shocking mix - like tram tracks - can be nasty.
nice swelling  - got lots of ice on it I hope while you were waiting?
  • Tram tracks are evil. I watched someone go under the front of a tram in Nottingham after they got wedged. Not pleasant. They looked like my ankle, except in the face department.

Did apply cold compress. I'm short of frozen mixed veg now.

You'd need it. The wife went and sat in it. My ears are still ringing.

The irony of this is that I was going to do an advanced first aid course next week. Doubt I'm going to be able to make it now :(

has your wife tried out your crutches? crutches are great.
  • She's too busy being f*cking useless.

I'm pretty much stuck on the couch. The kids haven't been to school for 2 days because she's too fucking lazy to take them, we've eaten take-out (50 quids worth) for 2 days and she's only just gone out 5 minutes ago FINALLY to get me some sodding tubigrip.

I'm going over to my parents for the rest of the week if this carries on.
