I have had a Polar S720i for a few years. For the last while the screen started to steam up when it got wet and faded or temorarily went blank, but always made a full recovery. I wore it in the sea a couple of months back and it hasn't worked since. I took it to a jewellers on Friday to see if changing the battery would sort it out and I thought opening it up would show if seals were gone, but they said they didn't deal with digital watches. Does anyone know where I can get it sorted?

Sounds like the seal to me.

Send it back to Polar to get the battery changed and the unit resealed. Costs about £15 and takes a week or so. Don't forget to send the chest unit also to get the battery changed in that. You can get the address and form from Polar's website.

Make sure you send it back to the right Polar! There's another company called Polar Instruments that's getting a bit stroppy about all the Polar HRM's they get sent!
