I've just looked on the campag website and it looks as if I need a special tool to remove a derailleur from the frame, please tell me it's not true! I've just been banging away with hammer and allen key..

Is there any other way to remove it?

Thanks.
Where\'s me jumper?

Just an allen key should be fine - undo the large, main bolt.

Pretty sure you don't. You do need special tools to deal with campag cassette removal but not derailleur.

    Try this link

The 'special tool' is for checking the alignment of the dropout...something that would be done by a framebuilder.... or the bike shop mechanic if you crashed your bike and needed the rear end realigning.
