Shock rebound damping gone!! HELP!!

I was out on my bike today and after a fairly heavy landing after a stepdown my rear shock (progressive 5th element 2005ish) lost all rebound damping. The ajuster knob has no effect anymore and it's like riding a pogo stick! There is also a top out clang; i've checked all linkage bolts and they're fine.

Bike's a Cove G-Spot 2005ish if that helps
