Is thius waterproof jacket breathable enough to use for medium training rides in cold/wet weather? I notice it has a breast pocket, which makes me suspicious that its cut and breathability may not be performance oriented. Although it got a good rating in C+ last year.

Are there any better options (at sub £100 price range) out there?

The polaris scandium looked really good at the cycle show. I've not used it personally but use a lot of their other kit. It's always awkward managing internal moisture in a waterproof. I swear by my goretex but mainly as it's windproof.
