Hi,

I was just wondering if there are any international commutors on this site, not from the U.K.
If you are an international commutor and would be happy to help me in a bike design project that i am working on please let me know your email address.

Thanks

I suppose of you lived near the border of one country... and worked just inside the next one... you could be an international commuter! 8)

To be a bit more helpful - there was that guy from New Zealand quite recently?
  • Over the last two years ive lived 50% in England 50% in Germany. Especially in Germany i use my bike to get pretty much everywhere.

I also lived in NZ for a year, however didnt really use a bike out there much. If i can be of any help please let me know.

Exactly what are you looking to design?

    Email cooper.michael1@talk21.com
  • I'm from Canada, and have one season of winter commuting under my belt so far...

But a few more details about your project, perhaps, so I know if I can be helpful?
  • AZ, USA here. Ummm, about 3 weeks of commuting so far
  • From Scotland, but in Jakarta - have commuted in a few places over the years, let me know what you want to find out.
  • Hi Guys,

Thanks for the response. The project is basically looking at designing a tool that can be used by commuters worldwide, it is called the commutool . It is part of a University project based around design across borders. I would like to hear your reactions to the project and any thoughts you have on i.

    COMMUTOOL
The commutool is aimed at a veriety of people from the everyday commuter to travellers using bike loaning schemes.
Its is a handle bar mounted tool that encompasses-
    -A front Light.
    -A detatchable rear light.
-A very basic GPS system for use in large cities.
    - A warning system for both pedestrians and motorists, using the concept of ultra sounic detection and a battery powered alarm.
    - The unit will be rechargable.

    Thanks for your time,

All responses positive or negative will be greatfuklly recieved.

What weight will it be?? Obviously a major concern!
What would be a RRP?? Also of interest!

I am writing from Switzerland and it sounds like just the kind of gadget/toy my boyfriend would go for..... (He is a guy, likes his toys!!!)
    :D
  • I am an Australian commuter in Sydney and interested in paricipating in a trial......
