blue bolt stuff?

hey all i just joined, looks like a active forum

does any1 know what the blue stuff is called that they put on caliper and rotor bolts?

Loctite 243 is the most common threadlock used on bikes. It's the medium strength oil resistant grade, ideal for most bike related stuff.

thanks for the quick replies chaps, does it make much difference if its out of date?

try it out on a spare nut n bolt, if it's hard to undo it after 30mins i think, then it's still ok.

some guy is selling it on ebay and im guess it must be ok cos hes sold loads
