taking forks off

How do you take forks off?
the bike is amongoose teocali comp and the fok is manitou splice comp

    undo the top cap bolt and the stem bolts and tap the steerer.

    Iv already taken the stem off but when I try tapping through It want move or is it me not tapping it hard enough?

    When Im putting the fork back on do I have to tork the stem and the bolt on top of the stem if so what tork settings do I need to tihten them down to?

    Come on have you read parktools? it is all there. No you do not. you adjust the top cap till the play has gone. and then tighten the stem clamps.
