Route advice -- does anyone commute Birmingham to Leicester?

I'll be flying into Birmingham International on November 14th and want to cycle from there to Leicester. Would any of you who commute in that area have any route advice?
So, after a lot of thought, I'd like to reconsider. Please, if it's not too late, make it a cheeseburger.

    If it was me, from the airport I'd head straight across the A45 towards Catherine de barnes (which is sort of in the wrong direction), then Hampton in Arden, Meriden (past the centre of the country), Filongley, Nuneaton, Across the A5, skirt round Hinckley, Earl Shilton, and follow that road into Leicester.
