planing to get a spare set of wheels and was wondering can you fit any brake disks to the wheel or do they have to be specific to your disk brake type ?

There are two types of rotor mount currently in use, Shimano's Centre Spine version & the more normal 6 bolt mount type.

Spare sets of wheels can be a pain in the arse, you could have to re index your gears every time you swap wheels as well as maybe having to readjust your brakes too.

Why do you need a spare wheelset?

some hubs require a different fitting but most use the IS 6 bolt fitting. Most things can be worked arround. let us know what and when and if there are any problems i am sure someone will point it out.
