I often get really dizzy when say.....5-10 mins into the ride i get really dizzy especially when climbing. I stop and i get a strange throbbing sensation and i feel quite sick. Should this be normal? Please help. :(

might be just pushing yourself too hard? might be a good idea to let the docs have a look at you though, best be safe aye.
  • do you go dizzy when you're on the vinegar strokes too?

I've had this occasionally and normally find it's either not giving myself enough time to warm up before doing something strenuos or not eating enough before a ride.
  • My pti's thought it was great if you lost the contents of your stomach during exercise. Means you've reached your limit. Also means you should have knocked it on the head and taken a break about a minute earlier :D

Get yourself checked out by a doctor.

Could be low blood sugar, could also be dehydration, but I doubt that as it's at the start of the ride.

I'd second that. It could also point towards problems with your blood pressure, so it's worth seeing your GP
  • Hm...I've recently noticed that on the ride home from work, when I'm normally hammering out the stress of the day - about 10 minutes in, I don't get dizzy but my legs go a little rubbery and I get the shakes in my hands. My first thought was low blood sugar. Between lunch (sandwich) and evening meal I normally have a couple of pieces of fruit (banana and apple) and a small box of raisins.Should I eat something else? Maybe I'm not eating enough in those 5 hours.
