Picked up my new Trek today 8)

Just twigged though, I don't have a shock pump for it. Surely it should've come with one??

Cheers

Chris :)

  • Panter you only usualy get one if you buy a new set of forks not a whole bike.......

I agree and also think you should get one as well

BTW what Trek did you get??

some do and some do not.

    depends on what you bought.

  • It's worth a try - if you don't ask, you don't get.

Having said that, my Fuel didn't come with one. It was mail order though, if that makes a difference.

  • I got a Wrench Force one which I have had no problems with. I think it was £20 from Evans. It has a gauge and a micro adjust air control button which is quite useful.
  • I got a Trek 6700 about six weeks ago, no fork pump was included.

I got a RockShox pump off Ebay for £12.

  • Can your normal pump manage 200psi??

hmm, do you need to put them to that pressure? and there was me worrying about how much pressure i had just put in on my trek fuel 80 (just bought from a friend)

What sort of PSI do you usually want to use?

  • My Rockshox Tora's are at about 160PSI and the rear shock i think is about 140PSI? most track pumps will reach these pressures so is there a reason why you can't use one of those? Especially when they have a pressure release button as well?

    Thanks guys.

No, it doesn't come with one and they're quite expensive aren't they

I got a Scott one from ebay in the end, it pumps to 450psi (Kaboom!) and has the micro adjust button.
    Delivered, it was about £17.00.

I don't know how good it is, I've never used one before but it pumps the shock up quickly and seems well made.

I can finally take the new bike out now :P
