I have decided to part with my v10 and buy a lighter bike. I am considering the Transition Bottlerocket but I am afraid this will be too much of a drematic change from the bigger and heavier v10.
Are there any other bikes in the middle of these two?
Any advice or help would be greatly appriciated as i'm off on a biking holiday in 2 months and want a bike which will be happy with.

how about the marin quake? its got a tad under 7'' travel (i think) and long, slack and low geometry and weighs in at around 40 pounds.. not the lightst of things but will definatly take a real hammering and you will be able to ride it places without having a heart attack! also from what i remember, marin will replace the linkage bearings for free when they have worn out...0
