Picked up my Pinarello Prince this morning and rode it home, all I can say so far is WOW! I feel like a kid at Christmas!

    Well that's a bit gorgeous 8)

If I win the lottery (I've heard buying a ticket improves your chances) I'd love something like that.

Excellent bike but surely a bad time of year to get such a bike unless you plan to ride it all winter. I have officially just retired my 'good' bike for the winter and have just finished a few jobs to my winter bikes in preparation for the dark days ahead.

Nah the price will have gone up by next year.

I'll ride as long as the roads are dry and grit free, otherwise I'll be training on my fixie/singlespeed. Besides no way I could wait until next spring to get my hands on a Prince!

Jash, I've got one like that (but you knew that already). I've had mine for three weeks and can't stop riding it. You'll love it. Hope you get some decent weather to try it out.

See you went for the pimpy white seat and bar tape. I was more practical and went for black although I think the white looks better.

It really is a stunning bike and rides like a dream. Did 80 miles and 4,600ft of ascent on mine the other day and it felt really comfy.

    Enjoy it.

    Hey
Better take it back to the shop, somebody has obviously left it leaning against a radiator and parts have melted.... :)

    V. nice!

Those Racing Zero wheels really set off the frame - good choice.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Got out twice on saturday and love it so far. Only done Richmond Park, but will go for a good long ride next weekend as long as the rain holds off.

That is one nice bike......I doubt I'd ever spend that much on a bike though. £3000+ with the wheels?

Yep it's pricey, but I don't own a car and would much rather spend my money on cycling than paying car insurance, VED etc etc!

I didn't mean to say that it's wrong to buy such an expensive bike, I'd love one but no doubt I'd get it all scratched up and ruin such a good looking bike, as I'm quite clumsy.

Again....what a beautiful bike.......I like the look of the Pinarellos, possibly one will be my next bike!

£3,000+. If only. Try £4,000 and you'll be somewhere near.

And I thought I was being generous with my estimate!!! I'd be scared of going on the roads with a bike that expensive, I'd probably hang it up and look at and dream of riding it!

Reddraggon, I must confess that when I first went out on mine I was a bit nervous (especially on the downhills) but after two or three rides I've forgotten that trepidation and just enjoy the bike.

The cost really shouldn't be an issue, these kinds of bikes cost money, just a fact of life. The real issue is how it handles and how good it feels and I'm sure the Prince is one of those frames which you can't stop riding cos it feels so damn good!

    Enjoy HarryB :)

Giant, you are dead right. I also own a Scott CR1 pro, which is a great bike for the money, but it doesn't hold a candle to the Prince.

Yesterday's ride is a case in point. I'd done over 40 miles and was heading home. But I was enjoying it so much I did a detour and ended up doing about 60.

Although it looks fantastic (I know this is subjective) the best thing about it is how it feels. Good job really as I had no opportunity to test ride the bike before I bought it.

    It looks truly awesome.
I don't suppose you, or anyone else, is in a position to compare the ride quality of the new Prince with the old? (I'll be making the switch eventually)

just imagine what it will be like when you get to own a Serotta  ! the Ottrott, often regarded by reviewers as 'the bike' or a MeiVici - carbon to the max
