Does anyone know if it is possible to cycle down the Clyde from Hamilton to New/Lanark?

Cheers :D

Yes, it is. The council (South Lanarkshire?) has a free map of the route - all the way from Glasgow. The path runs through Strathclyde Park up to the Falls of Clyde. There is one problem on the route, though. Access has not been granted for a private piece of land which extends to about 200 metres and cyclists have to take a detour which involves carrying the bike for a short stretch. It is marked but the signing is vandalised and can be hard to follow. The path going into Lanark is singletrack in a wood and can be very, very muddy. It took us all day to get from Glasgow to Lanark - but thankfully there was a good train service back.
