avid juicy 5 pad wear

i have the 2007 juict 5's and have been using them since around january time this year. Im a pritty light rider but ride quite alot, would any one reccomend a pad change?

    if they are worn out or contaminated then yes. if they are OK then why?

    how do i know when they are warn enough is what im asking i guess, as different brands have different wear levels. e.g lets say that hopes can run with 0.5 mm pad left and formula can run with 1.5 mm pad left.

    buy spares and keep them safe untill you need them.

    Avid do give a minimum thickness but i forget what it is. www.sram.com
