ive just got a lefty fork and noticed the steerer tube that sits in headtube is just an open cyilinder, does anyone know if something goes on top and bottom, like a cap or something. If not its open to the elements. thanks

a star nut and then a top cap the same as any other steerer tube. otherwise yes it is open to the elements the same as any other steerer tube.

There should be a plastic cap that sits in the top otherwise nothing.

You can buy a little toolkit designed to fit in the steerer tube actually. its just a top cap.
Is there a star nut nick? how do the forks clamp the headset/headtube?
