Which tyres are right for me?

I do alot of downhilling, jumping and commuting on my bike and i need some new tyres. I've been looking at maxxis swampthings and they seem good. I just don't know which size or compund to get them in. I was thinking 2.3s and 60a compound becuase that woud hopefully mean they last longer because of street riding and wouldn't wear as fast as other compounds. As it's getting to winter now the tracks i will be riding will probably be muddy and slippy so do you think these are a good choice? Are there any others i should be considering? Thanks for the help.

ok, basically are swampthing tyres good? Will they wear down fast if i use them on road? Which compound and size is best to get them in? Thanks again.0

I think you will struggle to find any single tyre that will do all three things for you equally well. The Swampthings get good reviews for mud but I imagine like most "mud" tyres will be fairly slow on road and probably not great at cornering on a flat firm tar surface.
What you REALLY need is another bike!0 -
Ignitors would probably be a better compromise. They won't handle mud quite as well but will handle most off road conditions well and will be a better tyre for the road."Internet Forums - an amazing world where outright falsehoods become cyber-facts with a few witty key taps and a carefully placed emoticon."0
