i am looking to upgrade my hubs to someting better at the moment i have shimano deore disk hubs on mavic ex721rims (dtswiss double butted spokes) i was looking at the da bomb hub range but i cant find any reviews on them. i do dj freeride 4x type bikeing.my budget is £40 ish

For £40 i'd stick with the shimano hubs, they last well if you look after them and are easy to service.
