Which one is the better (value) bike for my 500 pounds?

    SO GOOD
    - Superb, subtle feeling, beautifully balanced frame
    - The most complete £500 bike we've ever ridden


    NO GOOD
    - At this price, nothing

    My choice has come down to these 2 also, with the addition of the Rockhopper Disc at £580. I can get the GT at £470 and the Reflex 20D at £500 (or 10 at £580) so I'm undecided. My LBS recommends the Rockhopper because of the frame & forks over the GT while another recommends the Scott because of its light frame. Can anyone give an expert view of these side by side?
