simple question, i am looking at getting some easton carbon bars. I do trail riding arround bristol area and nothing that i think is that heavy - i weigh about 82kg. What are pro cons for getting OS bars or not. Will i need OS bars really?

well what size is the stem? is it standard or OS?

i see no need in oversize.

  • im buying a stem to fit too
  • I don't know if there is any real discernible performance advantage, using o/s.When I changed my bars and stem recently,I chose O/S simply,as there seems to be more choice, and less 25.4 stems seem to be available, these days.

Most new bikes are specced, with o/s,too,so I went with O/S figuring, that should I have to buy new bars,in the future I would have more options.
