Riding Gear????
What are everybodys thoughts on the best cycling clothing. I bought a few items from probike at the beginning of the year but now need to replace some of them namely a winter windproof jacket (if anyone wants to make an offer, hardly worn size L 
) I'm now not so keen on the trade type racing tops and want to buy some plainer, for want of a better word, tops. I know assos are meant to be good but frankly I'm not sure I can justify 100 quid on a cycling top when a 40 quid one would do just as well. Or am I missing something?
What are your recommendations, what works for you?

The Assos stuff does fit very well,& I've gone down the route of buying their kit,generally,but having it for a good number of years.so many cols,so little time!0

Decathlon stuff is good and I've just got a refund on a thermal top after the zip broke within a year (no receipt, but an email to customer services) and their stuff is guaranteed for two years !

I reckon Castelli stuff is fantastic. I tend to buy my Castelli stuff from comobike which is cheaper than getting it from the UK.

the altura kit seems a pretty good value for money range. not the cheapest, certainly not the dearest but good kit for the money. they have a range of windproof jackets - I have the airstream one and I am very impressed by it. think I paid £30ish for it,0

I've tried to find the Gore Phantom N2S everywhere but no one seems to have any stock left in a medium so if anyone knows where there are any.......
