creeking santacruz blur 4x?

hi there!

about a month ago i had a rather painful landing on the triple at chicky 4x in which i landed really hard on the seat, after that i noticed the bike creeking from what i thought was the seat so i ignored it.
yesterday after a 10mile ride with a play on a skatepark in the middle the creek got alot worse. after hours of riding in circles bumping down curbs i still have no idea where its coming from!!!
ive noticed that it tends to do it if i slowly put my weight on to the seat.

could this be the pivots?

did you check that the seat does not need retightening?

go through everything and check it is tight.

yup i have, i had the seat off tightened it right up.

my dad keeps saying to spray the pivots with wd40 is this a good idea?

try giving your seatpost and seatube a clean and grease your seatpost prior to re-fitting.

also the clamp. take it off and clean thoroughly.

the tinyest bit of grit in there will make a creaking noise, may not be that but only takes 5 mins to do.

just spray some WD-40 or GT85 around the seatpost and under the saddle etc and see if that works :!:

wd40 will defo work. i had a downhill bar with a brace that used to creak from the bolts, i gave it a spray and it never creaked after that
