Morning All
Hope everyone is cool and groovy
I need to get new tyres for my Slayer as my Cinders are now considerably worse for wear. They grip really well but find that they don't clear mud that well and tend to be a bit sluggish.
I ride xc & trail around North Downs Way so have mixed terrain to cover. I've looked at Maxxis High Rollers or Ignitors, Bontrager Jones ACX, Kenda Nevegal or Blue Groove & IRC Mythos.
I have also read about people having different tyres on front and rear, how much difference does this make?
All advice much appreciated (as ever )

I've just bought my first set of High rollers (2.35 version) for a trip to Morroco and so far I am very impressed by them. I've gone for the Supertacky version on the front, slightly longer wearing ?60A? version on the back. One thing though is they are HEAVY. For my general, local trail riding I will be going back to something lighter and saving the High rollers for trips to Scotland, Spain etc.0

How about Kenda Blue Groove on the front and Nevegal rear? Seems to be a good all round combo0

Depends how hard you ride. One man's lightweight joy is another's pinch prone nightmare. The Kenda's are great for grip and are very light but they are more prone to snakebites as a result.
If you've been generally pleased with the Cinders but want something that rolls a bit better, what about Panaracer Rampages?"Internet Forums - an amazing world where outright falsehoods become cyber-facts with a few witty key taps and a carefully placed emoticon."0 -
They look quite good though the Cinders dont have much mud clearance at 2.25 so had been thinking of 2.1's instead
How about Specialized Enduros or Continental Vapor or Verticals?0
