Has anybody got the 58 or 60 and can tell me the size of the headtube, I emailed Ribble but they said they can't provide that measurement. Very bizarre.

Do you mean centre to centre measurement or centre to top? My Ribble winter is 58cm C-to-T with a 15cm headtube.

Headtube size would be overall length, from top to bottom. The centre to centre sizing would be for the TOP tube length, seat tube length, etc

    172mm on a steel 653 frame with 600mm seat tube c-t :D
Probably meant to be 170mm but lugs give a bit of tolerance I guess

sorry just noticed their winter frames are ali now so measurement probably doesn't apply.
Pretty good prices for their frames

I once phoned Ribble to ask the angle configuration of one their particular sized frames.
The reply I got was that they didn't know but it was exactly the same as frame x from a certain very well known frame builder.Or should that be importer.
As frame x was twice the price of the Ribble in the same material I assumed this might not be a bad ploy on Ribble's part so ordered the frame off them.
And a very good frame it was too.

Yeah, I know that. I was referring to the frame measurement quoted.

Ribble have been getting a real slating since 2001 and they still haven't sorted them selves out. They should make sure that the people who answer the phones are helpful and polite and knowledgable. This is the customer's first point of contact ith the shop and given the bad reputation they really do need to get this right .I would employ some old timers personally even OAP's
It costs 4 times as much time and money to attract new customers but it costs nothing ,(bar some curtesy and good service,) to retain the ones you already got . (first rule of marketing)

I should add that its a great shame because their frames are exceptionally good value for money. I still use a 90's steel race frame and it is without doubt the best made frame I have ridden at that price.
