Here's a link to some pics of this weekends riding. Saturday was grim so I left the camera in my Camelback. Sunday however...........................................................

You can't beat Dartmoor on nice day for a good ride.

That reminds me I must get up there for another ride hav'nt been up there since July. Been to busy going over to Exmoor and the Quantocks to ride instead.

Amazing pictures. Iv just got back into MTB after a break as iv been rod cycling over winter. Took the mountain bike out for a ride a month ago and am completly hooked again. Whats the longest ride on Dartmoor that you do? Im looking to go on some epic days up there soon. Starting at Ivybridge as i can train there (no car!)

Any good routes you can reccomend?

We generally take guests on 40km routes, however, that's often shortened on day 2 as Dartmoor can really take its toll on your legs.

Ivybridge isn't an ideal place to start. There is some riding in the area however. I think MBR did a route starting at Ivybridge and heading up to the Avon Dam then looping round to the east before returning to Ivybridge.

Yeah, there is the tramway that can then maybe link onto the Abbots Way and up to Princetown. Road ride to Postbridge then up to the millitary roads of north Dartmoor. just looking at paths. From my own experience though paths on maps are not always paths on the ground!
