Rockshox reba advice?

Went out with my new Rockshox reba sl for the 1st time last weekend, had a good ride round Grizedale.
However, on inspection of bike whilst cleaning today, i noticed that the rebound adjuster on the bottom of the right fork is missing. :oops:
I left the adjuster in place whilst riding and did not expect it to come off, i know i can pick a new one up easily enough, but am i supposed to leave it in place whilst riding or remove it? Surely the hole would end up full of crud.

the choice is yours. it is actually not that easy to remove when it is pressed home correctly.
not lost mine yet.

Cheers for that, does it like click home or something? I obviously didn`t replace it properly after adjusting.
