Hello,

Decided to get a bike, cant stand london public transport anymore!

Tried looking in old threads but nothing quite seems to fit what i want, and my local bike shop was totally uninterested in helping.

what i am looking for is a bike i can go across London on but then chuck up and downhills and overjumps at the weekend. I have about 500quid to spend.

As i said i am new to cycling so want something that is a good allrounder before working out what really floats my boat. Basically i want teh cycling equivalent of a supermoto if any of you ride motorbikes!!

Thanks for your help and sorry it is another what bike question!!

best

Any of those bike with a set of road tyres will be perfect for commuting, then just stick the knobly tires back on and you have a good mountain bike.

i was hoping someone would be able to advise me on a bike that would usually be in the 500-800 quid range that might be available on the cheap.

there is only one bike listed the Specialized Rockhopper in that price.

really want something that will turn quick and brake fast. like doing stoppies :o

what is a good website for buying or a good bike shop in london.

    thanks for your help.
