First off Hello everyone 8)
now to a topic i'm sure you've all seen a thousand times before but please bare with me, i've been the proud owner of a Trek 1400 for the last 5 years it's beginning to show it's age and i need some new inspiration, i'll probably use it now as a commuter and winter bike
Which leaves me looking for a new bike I've been browsing the net looking for some 2007 bike deals, on Trek 1500's mainly, simply because i know the brand/ ride characteristics of the Trek bikes and i must admit i like the colour scheme.
Are there any other bikes i should consider/ that you could recommend in the £700 - £1250 region, preferably a 2007 bike drastically reduced my only stipulation is that it must have a Minimum of 105 groupset
hope you can steer me in the right direction........ thanks

I bought a Spez
The other choice was Trek, just prefered the Spez.
Have a look and see what you thinkRichard

In terms of value for money I don't think you can far wrong with Focus bikes. The level of finishing kit is excellent for the price points and, by all accounts, the frame is very good too.0

Another option (and all the above recommendations are brands I'd agree with) would be Ribble.
Depends on your location, although I guess you're looking at internet offers.
I like to ensure I get sized up properly, as I'm going to be spending many hours plugged-in to my new pride and joy.
I know Planet-X are sold through GB cycles, and I've had an excellent review of a superb looking (and relatively expensive) Planet-X TT bike from a "high-mileage" owner.
Personally, I go for Condors (London or some through BikeHut), but you won't get much of an end-of-season bargain - They're changing over to the 2008 range this week, so you may get a good deal on a 2007 Agio/Italia/Squadra0 -
The Focus Cayo always scores well. Only available online which is the major downside to me as you don't get to either try one before you buy or get the one month tune up you usually get from your LBS. I have a Cannondale Synapse carbon 105 which I got for £1100 and would reccomend to anyone.0
