50cm frame. Whats my wheel circumference in cm/mm please?
just wondered, does anyone know, so i can put it into the cat eye... ive checked the web, but can't find the various wheel sizes in correlation to frame size.
does anyone know a link to a site with wheel circumference in cm/mm in correlation to frame size, ie. is frame size 50cm going to have a wheel circumference of 205cm? please anyone know?
i'm sure this might help others having a similar task to do... i cant measure my bicycle wheel because its not here, and i have my cat-eye here and don't want to be messing about when going to collect the bike, as people won't wait for me any help, thankyou.
i have a giant scr2 - 50cm frame size. from top tube to crank bit.

Surely the only thing you'll want to put into your cateye is the wheel size, wheels are typically the same size and dont change in relation to your frame.
What size tyres have you got, read the numbers off the tyre wall post them on here and then I'm sure somebody will help you out. But the only way to get a real accurate speed reading is to measure the circumferance of the wheel / tyre.
Found this on sheldon brown should help you with the settings for you cateye see the chart at the bottom of the page

Quickest way (and accurate for your tyre, pressure and rims)
Roll the bike so the valve is at the bottom
Mark with chalk.
Roll bike forward until valve is at bottom again.
Mark with chalk
Measure between two marks

It's almost certain to be a 700c wheel with a 23 or 25mm tyre on .
Put the setting value to at 211 or 2115 depending on the model.0 -

i really didn't think of that...
theres me thinking 'i better take a tape measure and calculator and measure the diameter and then try and remember what multiplications to make using pie etc lol
thanks for the simple technique. (which now i come to think of it, works very well, and is simple)0
