HIGH POINT – In a fit of excitement many months ago I bought some tickets to see the Police before realizing no-one I know likes the bloody Police. This week Sting cancels and I get the cash back. Thank you Sting…
LOW POINT – Monday’s hangover was a blinder.
HOPES FOR THE WEEKEND – Allez les Blanc! And good luck to Mr Hamilton.

    SEEN - Ratatouille with the kids
    HEARD - Zero 7
    READ - Long Distance Cycling
    Bought - it was last week really but I bought a new front light, winter tyres & some hi-vis stuff. This week I bought two long sleeve tops & a handbag.
    High Point - being invited to a three day hen-do in Barcelona. I won't be able to go but it's nice to dream about it.
    Low point - hunting for a lost poo. I know my 2 year old did one but it wasn't in his nappy and it's never been seen since. I just hope he didn't eat it. Oh and feeling a bit run down so resting a bit.
    Hopes for the weekend: England win. Hamilton wins. Kids stay in bed until 8am (ridiculous to even suggest) and me and the husband have some nice food/wine and a long lie in :wink:

    Heard: Finally listened to Go2 by XTC properly, and found Battery Brides is incredible, aswell as listening to a massive amount of The Jam.
    Read: Nearly all of The Death Of Marco Pantani on a train journey to Manchester
    Bought: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, I Am Legend, Roadside Picnic, and On The Beach. Don't know why, but I had a sudden urge to read lots of Dystopian Sci-Fi :shock:
    High Point: Going to a mates 21st in Manchester and having a great time
    Low Point: Waking up after my mates 21st, and feeling the effects of a great time
    Hopes: Boro winning.

    BOUGHT – 'Richard Pryor Live In Concert' DVD. Cried laughing. Genius.
    HIGH POINT – Winning a tenner in a quiz machine down the pub on Monday
    LOW POINT – Losing twenty-five quid in a quiz machine down the pub on all other days.
    HOPES FOR THE WEEKEND – Decent weather, I need to work off those lunchtime pints… And the lunchtime Greggs pasties… And those afternoon Boost bars…

    LOW POINT – realising how much our half-term in London had cost

    That is going some, impressive from a blokey Loaded perspective, but I can understand the domestic strife that it might cause. I get into trouble if I spend more than £30 a every other week on pub fayre!

    that was my question too. it's not just booze, there were a few big nights out involving meals etc and he does buy our weekly takeaway with it. Even so, it's a lot....

    BOUGHT – spent £100 on Amazon plugging some gaps in the CD cabinet - PJ Harvey, Lennon, Waits, Arcade Fire and others

    LOW POINT – didn't get the job in Brissie

    HEARD - my two year old saying "bloody nora"
    READ - various blogs about completing the etape. Starting to sh!t myself now. I'm imagining the broom wagon to be like a huge combine harvester gobbling up slow cyclists.
    BOUGHT - Gore Bikewear Phantom windproof jacket - love it. A dark red lipstick for christmas nights out as a thirties style glamour puss.
    HIGH POINT - finally putting curtains up in my lounge, a year after decorating.
    LOW POINT - going to pick up my bike after a repair only to find they hadn't even ordered the part, never mind started the repair

    BOUGHT - mudguards for what is now my winter bike. I love them.
    HIGH POINT - my cousin had a baby after a long, long time of trying and a lifetime of bad luck.
    LOW POINT - having a little shivering, streaming-eyed baby in the house. Poor wee soul, she's absolutely full of cold.
    HOPES FOR THE WEEKEND - Israel win. Scotland win. 70 miles on the bike.

    HIGH POINT: Being able to hear my 11 week old daughter screaming her little lungs out
    LOW POINT: Knackering my back lifting my disabled father, therefore denying me work and riding my bike!! :(
    HOPES FOR THE WEEKEND: My back becomes unknackered and I can go out for plenty of dry miles on Sunday morning!!
